Baddie Tips on Self Care Practices

Baddie Tips on Self Care Practices

Hello Baddies,

It's Ellie here! I sure am glad that spring is here. It is the perfect opportunity to get a refresh, mentally and physically. I want to share with my baddies the self care practices I have been loving and prioritizing. Lately, Ive been having days where I wake up feeling energized and ready for the day and other days where I feel mentally and emotionally drained. On those days, it is hard to focus and have a clear head. Meditating helps ease my stress/worry and helps relax my mind and clear my head. (I am currently working on another blog that focuses strictly on meditating and meditating tips.)

Along with meditating, journaling and other self care practices help ease my mind/anxiety, clear my head and helps me be present in the moment. By being present, it allows me to enjoy the small things and moments in my life, which is so important to do in your day to day life. Having a grateful heart and attitude in all situations also helps me stay positive and have good energy for myself and the people around me.

Here are some self care practice I recommend 💕✨

Journaling

Journaling helps me get my thoughts and feelings out. It helps me focus on things that are positive and important and it helps to keep me moving forward. Here are some journals I love!

Spa Time

Treating yourself to a spa night at home is so underrated. I live for nights like this and feel so relaxed and good after. I love taking a bath and adding bubblebath or epson salt, doing a face mask and my skincare, turning on my diffuser, adding some lavender oil, and lighting my candles. It helps me create that spa moment at home. I also play relaxing spa music in my speaker and meditate while in the bath...best of both worlds.

Hot Girl Walks

Getting out of your apartment and walking for 20 mins a day can help ease anxiety and depression and is good for your mental health. Regular walks help clear your mind, improves your mood, reduces anxiety and helps you feel better emotionally. Since I have a doggie, I walk her every morning and evening, so I personally make these my hot girl walks. I like to stay off my phone and think/reflect while walking. At times, I like to use my noise cancelling headphones and listen to relaxing music. It helps me have a clear head space. If your wanting to add some extra excersice to your walks, try using ankle weights!

Drinking Water & Taking Vitamins

So idk about you but drinking water can be hard for me at times. Sometimes I'm drinking coffee or other things and forget. BUT drinking water is literally so good for you. Did you know that our bodies are about 55% water?! It's beyond important that your cells and organs get the right amount of water on a daily basis. You can calculate the exact amount of water you should drink daily by doing a simple equation. It is based on your weight and the amount of exercise you get. Here is the link:  Calculate Here!

Besides drinking water, taking vitamins and drinking supergreens is also essential to practicing good health and care for yourself. There are so many benefits to taking vitamins and drinking supergreens. I have a lot of vitamins on my amazon storefront and some of my favorite supergreens powders you can check out. I currently am taking the bloom berry one and I like to mix it in with a smoothie!

Reading

Another thing that has really helped me this past year has been reading different books. Along with journaling, reading books that motivate me, inspire me, and ones that help me grow have been beyond helpful. I do my best to do at least 15-20 mins of reading before bed which also helps relax me. I am listing 2 books that have truly helped me grow and ones I highly recommend!
