Hello Baddies, 

For this blogs topic we wanted to discuss our core values and behaviors here at Bad B. Since we launched at the end of 2020, we have always prioritized cruelty free, paraben free and vegan formulas. So we wanted to officially explain in detail what we stand for and what our values actually mean. 

Cruelty Free Formulas

Cruelty Free is a term used to explain how one product is manufactured or developed by methods that do not involve experimentation on animals. It is a product that was created from top-to-bottom, without harming or killing an animal. We create our beauty products with love and we do not and will never test our formulas on animals. We love our fur babies and believe there are better ways to test. 

Vegan Formulas 

Vegan formulas and products do not contain any animal ingredients or animal derivatives. They are made without materials of animal origin or their traces. There are a variety of animals ingredients that are still commonly used in beauty products such as honey, beeswax, lanolin, collagen, albumen, carmine, cholesterol, gelatin, elastin, and many others. Instead of using those ingredients they are replaced by materials derived from plants or minerals. We prioritize vegan formulas and products. None of our products or formulas contain animal derivatives. 

Paraben Free 

Parabens are synthetic chemicals (preservatives) used in beauty products for giving them a longer shelf life. Paraben Free is a term used to let consumers know that these harmful chemicals aren't a part of the product formula. The parabens that are most commonly used in beauty products are Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Isopropylparaben and Ethylparaben. Essential oils can be used in place of chemical preservatives. They do not provide as long of a shelf life as parabens do. However, they are considered to be safer than synthetic preservatives and make a great natural substitute. We create our formulas without parabens and use natural ingredients and oils instead.  We prioritize you and want you to know our formulas are created to enhance your beauty and make you feel good. When you use products that are made with natural oils, you are benefiting your skin. For example, you are naturally moisturizing your lips while wearing your Bad B lip gloss...the best of both worlds baddie 💋
